Studies of Master Works


For the artist who aspires to the highest in his or her art, the master works are second only to Nature as subjects of study. The achievements of the finest artists from the greatest ages of civilization show how a media can be mastered by the best minds. They provide moral as well as technical inspiration. As with life drawing, it is necessary to study the works first-hand, and not from photographs.
